It's not always easy

Lately, I've been thinking a lot. I've been crowding my mind with thoughts about school, relationships, career goals, world issues, travel plans, my future and my past. While I usually focus on the future, lately it's my past that's all over my mind.
Everyone makes mistakes and lately I've been thinking a lot about a mistake I made in the past and how it has affected my life. Since I always strive to be the best version of me, I'm very hard on myself when I do make mistakes. Here are some quotes that have been aiding my thoughts lately...

"...mistakes do not equal failure.
Mistakes are simply human.
They can result when trying something new, taking steps toward a dream, interacting with our friends as well as when cooking, driving and even spelling. Mistakes are part of life, and without them our journey would be a lot less interesting.
Even when we do our best, it is always well within the realm of possibility that we will makes mistakes."

"Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away."

Off to think some more!

I love that first comment about mistakes. Mistakes are only deviations from the norm. And they're the source of some of our greatest inventions and discoveries.
